N is for Newt…day 2

Today was our second day for the Letter N.

The way I am teaching them to draw the letter N is to draw 2 lines, then draw the diagonal line in the center. I found this to be easier for them. The little n” everyone is still struggling with a little. It has a tendency to look like an h, or an r. We will do a complete review of all the letters we worked on this next week, but you might want to spend a little time drawing the little n.

I pledge allegiance to the flag…”

They are so cute when they do this. They love it, and are getting it almost perfect!!! Way to go.

Everyone gets their turn writing the letter of the week. I draw the first name from the popsicle sticks, and then the person that went first draws the next persons name. It is a great way for them to share and take turns.

Start at the top, top, top, draw a strait line, then do another one. Now it is time to connect them!!!  See how good they do…

They LOVE it when I say “find your seats at the table..”

Today we colored Mr. Squirrel and drew something that he could hide his Nuts in. They are so creative, and great at expressing themselves.

Then it was off to our craft…Noodle Necklaces.

They were all so excited to do this. Taylor looked at the boys and said “You have to wear necklaces” BUT the boys didn’t seem to care, and thought it was so much fun.

After our little snack of Nachos, we made Noah the Newt puppets. They put on a little puppet show. It was just darling. I should have video taped it and put it on her. I will have to figure out how to do that. They are so cute.
