Do you know the colors of the Rainbow?

Thursday I introduced the letter R. They all did exceptional at writing the uppercase and lowercase R’s.

Then we did our worksheet!

I had to laugh at some of the kids when I started dumping fruit loops right on the table top. One little guys even said “Teacher, what are you doing?” I love the innocence they have. Just too cute!

We made fruit loop rainbows today. I actually love making this craft. I think it is fun to watch the kids pick out the needed colors, and glue them on the right arch of the rainbow pattern. I don’t know why, but I think its adorable.

I think they ate just as much cereal as they glued on the rainbows.

We learned this song today as well. I know that some people will argue about these colors, but I think this is perfect for preschoolers!

$ Cha-Ching $

We sure missed Evelyn, Nikkya, Deegan and Abigail today! It was crazy to have 4 missing. We sure hope to see you tomorrow!!!

Today I introduced the letter Q! We could have themed the day around Queens, or Quail, or Q-tips… but today we learned about Quarters!!!

They all did amazing writing the letter Qq. I was very impressed.

For our craft today we make Piggy Banks…

      

If you were gone, please help your little one decorate her bank. Then start saving that money, because in March you will bring your piggy bank back to school and we will be counting the money they saved!

We learned 2 different songs…or were at least introduced to these two adorable songs.

 

We had such a fun day! I bet if you ask your little one how many pennies a nickel is they will tell you…5!

P is for PIG

Today was the review of O, and P.

We did our Names again…

Then it was Piggies for arts & crafts…

They even have a cute curly tail…

See all of the finished pigs! We even have 2 little farmers. They wore these old hats all day!

       

You can’t have a Pig P day without reading a few books…

I didn’t get a picture, but we also read “If you give a Pig a Pancake.”

Then when we were done with the planned daily schedule, the kids requested the 9-1-1 movie. I loved that! It is so cute, and such a priceless thing to learn!!!

Time for a Party, and a little surprised…

Today is February 2, 2012. It is Groundhog Day! So to start the day we watched a few minuets of  Bambi 2 where the groundhog comes out of his hole. It is so cute!!! The kids loved it, and actually asked to watch it again.

We learned this cute song…

Then we did the Letter P. For the day we had a Pajama Pizza Party!!!

For craft today we did collages. The kiddos looked through magazines and cute and pasted the letter P onto there page.

Then it was time for PIZZA!!!!

I had a surprise for the kids… A PET!!! Each kiddo got to take home 2 goldfish. Wahoooo

We ended the day with reading this cute book…
